Personalization of Plurk's services, which is tailored to the individual activities of each user, provides a customized experience that highlights content and communities of interest. Users can shape this personalized experience through "Settings." The Plurk team is committed to continuously enhancing the platform's offerings and is devoted constantly to innovating new aspects of services moving forward.
The nature of the content on Plurk may be fun, serious, or anything in between. Plurk offers a broad scope for content that is deemed acceptable and has outlined our content policy for unacceptable content at https://www.plurk.com/content-policy. If you are unsure whether the content that you want to submit is acceptable, follow this simple principle: maintain sufficient respect for others so that everyone can enjoy Plurk.
We are diligently working on new features and products, aiming to enhance Plurk as a platform. In pursuing these developments, should certain aspects of features or services pose business risks to Plurk, we may modify, discontinue, or cease them. We strive to provide continuous, uninterrupted services, but there may be occasions when changes or discontinuations occur that are beyond our control. In such occasions, it may not be possible to access your content, and we are not liable for any inconvenience or interruption that may arise.

Plurk will retain certain items of your personal information, such as your phone number, email, and ID in a non-identifiable format to prevent the data from being re-used for registration. If you opt not to provide certain personal information, you may be unable to complete registration or access some Plurk services.
You bear responsibility for your use of the services and any content you submit and should ensure that they do not violate relevant laws. You are allowed to access and use the services provided by Plurk. You consent that Plurk and its affiliates and partners have the right to insert advertisements within the services and content. You are requested to use the services properly and access them solely via the official API and methods provided by us.
When using the services, you are expected to observe the following guidelines:
- Do not access or use any private areas, computer systems, and/or technical delivery infrastructures of Plurk.
- Do not attempt to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of Plurk’s system or network, or bypass security or authentication measures.
- Do not access the services by any means other than through the interfaces publicly provided and authorized by Plurk; at the same time, adhere to the robots.txt file guidelines.
- Do not disrupt the use of other users and/or the operation of hosts or networks and do not disrupt or harm the services by distributing malware, overloading, flooding, spamming, crafting scripts or any other ways.
If you violate any of the above provisions, other provisions set out in These Terms, our content policy, and/or applicable laws or regulations, we may temporarily suspend or permanently delete your account.
For the following purposes, we reserve the right to access, read, retain, and/or disclose any necessary information:

You acknowledge and consent that we are not liable to you or any third party for any alterations, suspensions, or termination of the services, or any part thereof.

"Your content" refers to everything you incorporate into our services, such as uploads, posts, shares, etc. This includes texts, links, GIFs, emoticons, photos, videos, documents, or other forms of media.
You retain the ownership of your content that may be protected by intellectual property rights. We do not own the said content. However, by using Plurk services, you grant us permission to use that content for operational, developmental, or service enhancement purposes under applicable laws. This includes:
- Using, copying, storing, disseminating, and/or distributing your content in alignment with your use of the services (for instance, we can store and display what you post).
- Making your content publicly available if you choose to share it with others.
- Monitoring, altering, translating, and/or reformatting your content.
If your content breaches These Terms, our content policy, and/or applicable laws or regulations, or poses risks or negative consequences to Plurk, we have the right to block, temporarily disable, or permanently remove such content.
